I'm All Girl, Inc. has designed and developed the "Changing and
Growing Seminar," an interactive class targeted to Fifth, Sixth and
Seventh Graders. Our method includes 36-Powerpoint Slides,
Hand-Outs and the IAG Kits with Inserts. Children are encouraged to
ask questions, color in diagrams and leave with a keepsake kit that
becomes more than just a learning tool - it becomes part of their lives.
- Prepare students for the changes they will
experience during puberty and help them accept change as a normal, natural part of growing up.
- Identify the physical and emotional changes that
accompany puberty.
- Describe the appropriate care products and
safety measures required to maintain good hygiene.
- Discuss helpful techniques to address the mental
and emotional issues that accompany puberty.
- Facilitate appropriate discussion between
adolescent and caretaker.
- Provide an opportunity for kids to learn about
their changing bodies in a positive environment.
- Dispel myths.
- Provide a forum to discuss concerns with trusted
adults.
- Generate opportunities for children to talk to
their parents openly and honestly about sexuality.

The "Changing and Growing Seminar" is designed to provide preteen girls and boys (ages 8 - 14) with the information and tools necessary to successfully navigate their transition into puberty.
The workshop focuses on the physical and emotional changes that occur during this time and provide the facts necessary to foster responsible growth in both knowledge and confidence in pre-teens.
The curriculum for girls includes the topic of menstruation and will help teach them good "period" management.
The boy's curriculum focuses on proper hygiene, body development and handling emotions.
