    between adolescent and
    caretakers
Workshop Objectives



    This period prep workshop is designed to
    provide preteen girls (ages 8 – 14) with the
    information and tools necessary to
    successfully navigate the transition from
    girls to women and boys to men.  

    The presentation focuses on the physical
    and emotional changes that occur during
    puberty. It provides the facts necessary to
    foster responsible growth in both
    knowledge and confidence in the preteen
    girl.

    This course also provides the preteen girl
    and boy with the essential information to
    initiate a dialogue with a parent or a trusted
    adult when necessary.

    Information will be presented in a
    supportive non-threatening environment
    utilizing language appropriate to the girls'
    and boys' age and cognitive level.
